My new book is coming out this month in China, it's a novel I wrote 12 years ago, in London, and the title is 'In London'. Published by Jiangsu Literary Publishing House.

When writing this novel in March 2005, I was just a graduate struggling to find my first job in this city, and living in London as unemployed. The story is about a group of unemployed adults, same as me, but they are all English, the local residences. They are artists, writers, rock band singers and musicians, photographers, etc.. The only thing in common between they and I is that we are all jobless and poorest in this glamorous city, whilst the only thing left in our lives is our hope.

Most reviewers and literary editors wondered why John, the English man and Juliet, the Chinese girl didn't fall in love in this book, however in my own view, that is all this story about. It is hard to understand, and if you want to find out the answer, you will have to read the story and find it out by yourself.

The book has a foreword written by Wenfen Chen-Malmqvist, Swedish Taiwanese writer, wife of sinologist Göran Malmqvist. And I would like to take this chance to express my great thank to her, for her extremely excellent criticism on this novel.

长篇小说《在伦敦》，写于我28岁在伦敦那个穷困潦倒的春天，写这部小说的时候，我银行账户上全部的存款只剩下两千多元人民币，而我当时一个月的房租就要三千。就是在这样的情况下我写完了《在伦敦》，激情满满，敬请期待。

很多文学编辑和读者都奇怪为什么这部小说中的男女主人公最后没有恋爱，在我看来，这正是这部小说所要表达的核心之一。也许这一点很难理解，但如果你想知道为什么的话，还请你自己去阅读这个故事，找到自己心中的答案吧。

本书由旅瑞台湾作家陈文芬老师倾情作序，她的文章字字珠玑，精彩绝伦，她甚至比我这个作者都更加深刻地理解这部作品，感动得我不行不行的，不胜感谢之至。
